At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their collaboration “Die With a Smile.” In their acceptance speech, Mars expressed his honor in being part of Gaga’s musical journey, while Gaga praised Mars as an incredible musician. She also took the opportunity to celebrate the queer community, specifically acknowledging the visibility and love deserved by trans people, which earned her a standing ovation.
Earlier in the evening, the duo performed a cover of “California Dreamin'” as a tribute to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
